TECU’s Kenya Seminary Students Working While They Wait

November 10, 2016 – Toney, Alabama (Home Office)

Trinity Evangelical Christian University’s first students of the Distance Learning Seminary Project are not waiting to receive their books to get started. Under the leadership of Pastor Fred Akello, the group of 12 are meeting regularly to familiarize themselves with the Revised Common Lectionary Series and participate in UNTCI’s weekly live streaming broadcast of “The Round Table Communion & Bible Discussion” which is currently teaching and discussing scripture from the (RCL).

A “book drive” was announced previously to raise the $1300.00 US to purchase and send the books required for them to begin their studies (see http://untci.org/kenya-seminary-book-drive/) after the project was announced. Everything has since been in place, including selection of the students, staff and faculty, the computer and networking gear required in Kenya, and the curriculum and book list.

All that remains is the funds to purchase and send the books. We have to this date raised $800.00 US from 2 donors. Please, help support this worthy project. Come up alongside these students, each one of them already Pastor of at least one church in Kenya. Provide for them what is necessary for them to learn more and earn required credentials that they may continue in their work in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Go to our “Giving Center” at http://untci.org/giving-center/ and find your way to “Missions Support”

In the meantime, the students in Kenya will continue to do what they can to learn more and prepare to get started.
