The Promise Church in Pakistan Celebrates First Anniversary
October 17, 2016 Faisalabad, Pakistan (filed through Home Office)
Sunday, October 16, 2016 marked the one year anniversary of The Promise Church in Pakistan which was established by the moving of the Holy Spirit and diligent work of Rev. Babar Kamran, UNTCI’s Missions Representative to Pakistan and his ministry of Gospel Outreach throughout the rural areas surrounding him.
The church was planted in a village that has never in it’s thousand year history had any place for Christian gathering or worship, as a result of the community coming together after hearing the Gospel and receiving Bibles for themselves from Babar. The village elders contacted Rev. Kamran sometime after his anointed gathering there and announced to him that they had set aside some property that they wanted to put a church on. Brother Babar was excited for the news and threw in his support there.
The first pictures shared with UNTCI were that of Rev. Babar Kamran standing next to a pile of neatly stacked brick as the “beginning”:
One year later, and admittedly with very little help from UNTCI Missions Support, the church is strong and growing. It has quickly become more than just a place for worship, according to Rev. Kamran who serves now as Pastor, it is a “life” center where those who have Christ in common can come, fellowship, and help one another grow in faith.
There were over 300 people this past Sunday at The Promise Church in Pakistan to celebrate and worship!
Pastor Babar continues his efforts into the rural areas to bring the Gospel often to places who have never heard of Christ Jesus and he needs our help.
Help support this important ministry that is breaking new ground for Christ every day.
