October 8, 2020 is the date set for the graduation ceremony for the TECU Distance Seminary, Kenya Class 2020-01 Students who have completed their bachelor degree studies in Theology and Ethics.
These students, all part of Cross-Styles Ministries in Ugunja, Kenya, an Independant Christian ministries and missions network working in Western Kenya, have come a long way, through many trials, to complete their studies. Only four classes into their studies, the Corona Virus outbreak occurred and crippled all of the plans for the conduct of the course of study.
With a lock-down in place in every location from the U.S. and Canada – the locations of the international faculty responsible for the teaching, to Kenya – where the local administration and campus is located, they were forced into new techniques for learning as we were forced into new techniques and platforms for teaching. Through it all, the students not only persevered, they excelled as a group, supporting one another throughout the ordeal.
“As we here at TECU now work to compile their grades and process their diplomas and certificates in front of this event, we want to congratulate each one of these Students for their accomplishment and call upon the rest of the UNTCI Fellowship lift them all in prayer as this commencement will take them further into the ministries and farther onto the mission fields around them for the sake of the Gospel and our shared call to Christ’s work.“
~ Rev. Dr. C. Joseph Fifer, TECU Provost
