“Yahweh your God is among you, a warrior who saves. He will rejoice over you with gladness. He will bring you quietness with His love. He will delight in you with shouts of joy.” Zephaniah 3:17 HCSB
Introduction
At The United New Testament Church, International Ministry Association, Inc. (UNTCI), we celebrate the diverse gifts God has placed within His body of believers. Today, we are pleased to highlight and introduce Pastor Kathy Jo Kahn. She is a dedicated UNTCI pastor who brings a powerful blend of spiritual leadership, creative worship, and technical excellence to our ministry. In addition she is a Worship leader, sound engineer, recording artist, singer-songwriter, published author, and multi-instrumental talent. Pastor Kathy Jo embodies the heart of UNTCI’s mission: fostering genuine relationship with God, while equipping independent ministers and communities.
Service and Ministry
Pastor Kathy Jo Kahn serves as part of UNTCI’s ministry, contributing to worship development and community ministry. She ministers alongside her husband and fellow UNTCI pastor Sam Kahn. Her role as a UNTCI pastor reflects her deep commitment to Christ-centered ecclesiae—simple gatherings focused on relationship, encouragement, and outreach. Whether through worship, teaching, or prayer, she helps believers step into deeper intimacy with the Lord and practical support for ministry calling.

Central to her ministry is HopeFire Studio, located in Everett, Washington. This professional audio production facility, tied to The HopeFire Project (www.hopefireproject.org), serves as a hub for creative worship and outreach. As a skilled sound engineer, Pastor Kathy Jo helped designs and operates the studio space, capturing high-quality recordings for music, voice-overs, sound design, and more. HopeFire Studio isn’t just a technical space—it’s a ministry tool where artists and worshippers can produce work that glorifies God and reaches hearts. From recording sessions to live event production, her expertise ensures excellence in every project.

As a recording artist and singer-songwriter, Pastor Kathy Jo pours her faith into original music that inspires hope, healing, and devotion. Her songs often draw from personal encounters with God’s grace, offering listeners encouragement during difficult times. Her multi-instrumental talent shines through in performances and productions—she plays multiple instruments with skill, allowing her to lead worship bands, arrange tracks, and create layered, heartfelt soundscapes. Whether on stage, at events like Rock the Church NW and Friday Night HopeFire, or in the studio, her worship leadership invites people into God’s presence through authentic praise and powerful lyrics.
Life Surrendered
Pastor Kathy Jo’s journey reflects a life surrendered to God’s calling. In addition she had the word spoken several times. Notably she was tasked to “gather the sound of the coming King.” Also she was given a name from Jesus “Beloved bearer of the sound of Hope.” Afterward she took those moments and applied them to her ministry and calling. As a result of those words and her life verse Zephaniah 3:17, Kathy Jo has a heart to help those God brings across her path.
She has been trained from institutions like Northwest University (BFA in Music/Recording Technology), NYU TISCH and Berklee’s certificate programs in music business and technology. As a result she combines artistic passion with professional polish. Consequently her work extends beyond music into broader outreach, including involvement in mental health support (Fresh Hope) and community support initiatives in the Greater Seattle area. Through HopeFire, she helps light pathways to hope. Therefore aligning perfectly with UNTCI’s emphasis on relational ministry. As well as Supporting persecuted or independent believers worldwide.
Music
One of the ways her music touches lives is through streaming platforms. Her catalog includes inspiring tracks that resonate with worshippers seeking deeper connection. A standout is her single “Me” from her 2022 release— a heartfelt piece reflecting on God’s sacrificial love. You can listen to it here: Me by Kathy Jo Kahn on Spotify.
She has also released a Nativity Story by Candlelight album that captured the nativity through songs and narration. Kathy Jo and Sam have been presenting and refining this story and show since 2003. They brought the nativity story to various churches and ministries throughout the years. In that refining, Kathy Jo released the album through BentBeat Studios.
In addition to “Me,” [Kathy Jo Kahn] EP [ME] ([2022]) includes several other singles that showcase her range as a singer-songwriter. Tracks like “So Loved” and “All Who Are Thirsty” invite listeners to drink deeply from Scripture-inspired themes of redemption and thirst for God. These songs are perfect for personal devotion, church worship sets, or community gatherings—tools for igniting faith in everyday life.

Pastor Kathy Jo Kahn’s ministry at HopeFire and with UNTCI demonstrates how God uses multifaceted talents for His kingdom. As a UNTCI pastor and worship leader, she leads with humility and creativity. Through HopeFire Studio and her worship ministry through the Pacific Northwest, she equips others to create and share God-honoring content. Her work as a sound engineer, recording artist, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumental talent bridges the gap between technical skill and spiritual impact.

Thank you, Kathy Jo
Pastor Fifer,
Thank you so much for your recognition of the thoughts we shared.
I hope people will not interpret that I mean small like lessor… I meant small as in we may feel small, but if we can do small well and do it over and over again, suddenly small isn’t small anymore!!
I am truly excited to be engaged and even tonight had a wonderful evening in fellowship with our UNTCI family in a moment to share the Word and Truth of the times we are experiencing and the reality that everything we truly need to know is in those 66 books. Let us all keep gathering and rejoicing in the power that is only in the Blood of Christ and allow the freedom that we have at UNTCI to be multi-denominational all while being Jesus ONLY followers.
Blessings to the UNTCI family and our future members,
KJ
