Today, I am thankful for my Daughters.
Paul and I were blessed with four girls in the span of three years. Each with their own unique, beautiful, intriguing personalities.
We had our children a little later in life than most, and boy do they keep us young!
They’re truly incredible reflections of our Creator… so much so that I often find myself at a loss for words to adequately describe them.
They so very brightly, beautifully, gracefully and joyfully SHINE forth the glory of God into our every day, in so many different ways. They remind me so much of Ruth… Deborah… Esther… Mary… each glorious… each beloved… each blessed.
We have the Musician, the Chef, the Fashionista and the Artist…
But you must understand – these are merely their Super Hero “Day Identities”.
You see, Paul and I are privileged to know their true identities:
the Worshipper, the Prayer Warrior, the Healer and the Comforter.
Today, I am thankful for my Daughters!
He gives the barren woman a home, making her the joyous mother of children. Praise the LORD! ~ Psalm 113:9
Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate. ~ Psalm 127:3-5
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. ~ Psalm 139:13-16
