Activities:
This past year saw a rise in the cost of the feeding programs everywhere. Because of the increased amounts of funding being transferred, security measures as well as methods of transfer were changed. In some cases this resulted in extra time being required for the completion of the transfers.
In every place we are supporting ministries and missions, it remains far more efficient to transfer funds into the area to make local purchases of necessary foods and supplies. We continue to work with the local ministries ensuring good stewardship and efficient processes are maintained.
Education has been a focus throughout 2022 as we supported the local areas recoveries after COVID-19 Shutdowns forced our previous efforts to stop. We participated in the education of many local pastors through our Distance Learning Bachelor Degree programs in Kenya and Ghana, Equipping the Called Programs in India, and the completion of the Private Local School for the poor in Bondo, Kenya that is currently training up staff and enrolling the local children.
Ministry efforts have also been a priority abroad for UNTCI ministries and missions. The need for church plants and new faith communities has been obvious in the increased requests as the people come out of the COVID hardships seeking. Rev. Babar Kamran, in Pakistan, as well as Rev. Raju Shalem in India have been busy with their ministers building communities and churches, as Rev. Akello and others have been moving into the tribal areas of Kenya with the Gospel being well received.
Victory Healing Ministries in Liberia has also been busy with new construction and repairs required of their facility to better serve and support the poor and children in Monrovia. In addition, they are successfully evangelizing and establishing Christian Faith Centers out in the rural villages in the interior.
Here at home we have also been busy finding new ways to present teaching and preaching through the internet SMS platforms that we currently occupy while at the same time developing new ways through podcast and other media platforms. We have also been engaged in outreach and faith community building here at home through several local churches, ministries, and faith groups and hope to develop some opportunities to bring UNTCI members together in fellowship in the near future.
Imparitive:
Members of UNTCI must do outreach for the sake of and on behalf of this (their) ministry. It is necessary that each minister and ministry that is covered by UNTCI participate in giving offerings in order that this ministry can continue. “We” have been operating in a deficit for far too long, requiring the Prelature to give more and more each month, not toward the growth of this ministry, but simply to maintain the minimal levels of service that each of you would expect and to what this ministry was created for. We need help! Now! and Regular!
